On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, members of the RIS community gathered beneath the shades in front of the dining hall to share a night in a bazaar surrounded by Christmas lights. The stands of the bazaar were set up by students and parents from the school’s community and they were all quite beautiful with a lovely presentation and a fascinating selection of items for sale, like clothes, accessories, toys and beautiful handmade items. Even Santa Claus decided to visit the bazaar!
“This is the third year we’re doing this, and each year it just gets bigger and bigger” said Miss Karen Page, the PYP music teacher. She is also the teacher in charge of the PYP chorus, which delighted everyone that night with a warm selection of traditional Christmas songs, such as “Let it snow”, “Feliz navidad (I wanna wish you)”, “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer” and many others.
The bazaar had all kinds of Christmas things and it was a great opportunity for the members of the community to share. This activity will probably be carried out next year as well, so if you are willing to sell something, you are more than welcome to set a stand next year.
Happy Holidays!
