On Thursday 10th October 2013 the RIS students were introduced to a celebration regarding Eid Al Adha at the senior school assembly which took place at the senior gym.
Eid Al Adha is the time for sacrifice or how Muslims call it “The Greater Eid”.
The event was filled with colorful celebratory decorations, “It was a celebration to be remembered,” said an interviewed student.
I personally thought that this was a beautiful and unique event as an international student. As a student attending Raha International School this is an important factor to be experiencing to have an outlook on different cultures, respect and understanding since we are an international school and Abu Dhabi is our host city.
