On Thursday, March 21, the University Counseling office held the 2013 Career Fair at Raha International School. Thanks to the help of the student Organizing and Volunteer committee, the event was a huge success.
Students from grades 8 to 12 assisted in the fair, where they were able to obtain valuable information from professionals of different career sectors. The speakers were, as well, very enthusiastic about the event as they certainly liked to share about their career and success with interested students seeking to follow similar steps in their professional lives.
Representatives from Etihad Airways, New York Film Academy, Masdar Institute, Dots and Links, along with other speakers representing a career rather than an institution were enthusiastically sharing information with the students and answering to their questions.
Different careers like Psychology, Engineering, Telecommunications, Health Sciences, Fire Consultancy, Journalism, Marketing, Architecture, Logistics, Counseling, Management, Web Designing, and Marine Biology were the staring professions at the Career Fair.
With events like the Career Fair, Raha International School tries to help students make informed decisions that will have a strong effect in their academic and professional lives. For the Grade 10 students, the time to choose their IB subjects is already around the corner, and with occasions like the Career Fair, they can explore options for their professional future and adjust their Diploma Program to fit their university requirements.
